EYLACCB 10 Years : Championing Diversity on Boards
In March 2011 the idea that would become Engaging Young Leaders on Aged Care and Community Boards was ignited, knowing that young people had so much to give in roles on Boards.
Starting with a simple chat over coffee, between Dr Nicky Howe and Alicia Curtis, who knew the idea had potential even back when it was a dream. The work – particularly in the early days setting up the program, applying for grants and developing a structure and model that had longevity and relevance in a changing market – was unrelenting, but so rewarding. Through the challenges and support of all community partners, participants and sponsors came success!
Now ten wonderful years later, this program has inspired, deliver change and built a stronger sector.
Read about the ten wonderful years of learning, inspiring, nurturing, mentoring and change making.
