Bayswater Family Centre needs volunteers
On behalf on the Bayswater Family Centre, 53 Murray Street, Bayswater 6053
The Bayswater Family Centre is seeking community members to volunteer for their management committee.
The Bayswater Family Centre hosts an Early Starters Program for 3 year old children, is the meeting place for Bayswater Playgroup and offers a range of services to community groups and families in the area.
“We are seeking people from all walks of life to join the committee and ensure that the programs of the Centre continue,” says current Chair Heather Kerr. “Experience in management committees is not necessary, rather we are seeking enthusiastic, switched on individuals who wish to contribute to their community by providing strategic direction and focus to this fabulous community asset.”
The Centre attracts funding from the Department of Communities and a viable Management Committee is a requirement to continue the funding. Some members have experienced changed circumstances and we have an urgent need for new members to remain constitutional.
The Bayswater Family Centre can arrange training for new Management Committee members through Linkwest, the peak body for Neighbourhood Centres.
The Committee meets each month at the Centre in Murray Street, Bayswater.
Please contact the centre on 9370 5205 if you would like further details.
