Calling all LGBTIQ+ women interested in advancing their leadership and governance skills

Calling all LGBTIQ+ women interested in advancing their leadership and governance skills and contributing to aged care and community boards! Applications are now open for our 2022 Emerging Leaders in Governance Program (ELGP), specifically targeted for young LGBTIQ+ women.
The business case for board diversity is now well-established, but there is a long way to go in making this a reality, particularly in relation to gender and LGBTIQ+ diversity. LGBTIQ+ women bring an important perspective to Boards that improves decision-making and organisation inclusivity.
However, LGBTIQ+ women can continue to face discrimination, prejudice, and stigma in many areas of life, and the ‘double glass ceiling’ effect of being both a woman and LGBTIQ+ can make it even more challenging to thrive in the workplace.
The ELGP program aims to provide an important safe space for LGBTIQ+ women to form lasting connections, seek inspiration and courage from each other, and empower each other to be visible role models in their respective organisations.
