Hi, my name is Amelie Cummins and I am a second-year student at UWA. I am currently studying a combined Bachelor of Human Rights and Arts (Political Science and International Relations). This program has been recommended to me after completing an internship with OVIS Community Services, a not-for-profit FDV service provider in the Peel region. My internship tasks concerned the promotion of good governance within OVIS’s Board, by updating key procedures and processes. My experiences working closely with the Board made me highly interested in contributing to my community, especially in a not-for-profit capacity.
